New workspace, but still no summer

It’s been a bit quiet on here. As it goes things have been happening in my life and I haven’t had as much time as I would like to sit and reflect or even knit to be honest. Two weeks ago the boyfriend and I took over a little empty shop in Karlskrona (southern Sweden for those of you not super into small nordic towns). We plan to use it as a studio/office space, as we are both in the process of building fledgling businesses. It is a little crooked and not at all charming in any conventional meaning of the word, but I can’t help but love it or maybe just the freedom it represents, either way I am happy. So far it is temporary though, we have it for about 3 months and then we’ll see if our landlords aka the ceramics studio next door want their lunchroom back or not. We’re crossing all the fingers.

Last week was pretty much all painting, building desks and painting some more. There was also a much anticipated visit from my Mom, she lives in Denmark and I don’t get to see her as much as I would like. We spent some days hanging out by the sea, talking, reading the tarot, eating BBQ and enjoying the summer weather that arrived at the same time she did. Incidentally it also left when she did.

Now I am back in the new studio, working on projects. Everything is one big hefty planning stage, right now, but much of it is Knitting related so I am exited. Can’t wait to share some of it. Hopefully soon!

  • Looks promising!
Love the graphic lines on that cushion! Why don’t you design, knit and hang some sort of similar wall hanging in your new space? A bulky yarn in an eye-popping colour that revs you up every time you see it…
